A local number for calls. A mobile for calls and texts.

How it works

Three steps, all online.

No contracts, no technician visits and no hardware.

1

Pick your number

In Colvy, choose a city for a local landline or pick a mobile, then choose from the numbers available.

2

Pay and add your details

Australian rules need your business name, street address and proof of address, so we ask in one short form. Then pay $15 a month by card.

3

Start calling and texting

Your number is set up straight after payment. Calls (and texts on a mobile number) arrive in your shared inbox, browser and app.

Online in minutes

Pick a number for your city.

A local 02, 03, 07 or 08 landline, or an 04 mobile. Choose it in Colvy, pay online and fill in one short form.

What you get

A phone system that knows your customers.

Because the number lives inside Colvy, every call and text sits next to the customer’s orders, bookings and past conversations.

Calls in the browser and app

Answer and make calls from Colvy on the web, or the iPhone and Android app. No desk phone needed.

Texts on a mobile number

An 04 mobile number sends and receives texts, straight into the shared inbox.

Know who’s calling

Callers are matched to their customer record, so as it rings you see their name, order count and spend, and where they’ve contacted you before.

Ring the whole team

Every available teammate’s browser and phone rings at once. Choose how long it rings before voicemail, or ring people in order, forward to your mobile or add a press-1 menu.

Recordings and AI summaries

Calls are recorded and transcribed, with a short AI summary saved on the conversation.

A number per location

Add a number for each store or location and assign it there. Every number is answered from the same inbox.

Questions

Business numbers, answered.

Each local or mobile number is $15 AUD a month, billed monthly, with no lock-in contract. An 1800 number is $25 AUD a month, because incoming 1800 calls cost more to carry; very high call volumes may need an Enterprise plan. Contact us to cancel a number. Calls and texts run on Colvy’s Inbox or Everything plan, which include 3,000 SMS a month.

A local landline number with your city’s area code (02 for NSW and the ACT, 03 for Victoria and Tasmania, 07 for Queensland, 08 for South Australia, WA and the NT), an 04 mobile number, or an 1800 number that callers ring for free. 1800 numbers take calls only, and are offered whenever our carrier has them in stock, so they may not always be available. 1300 numbers are coming soon, but aren’t available yet.

Australian landline numbers (02, 03, 07 and 08) are for calls. To send and receive texts, choose an 04 mobile number. Many businesses have both, and every call and text lands in the same shared inbox.

Australian rules require a few details before a number is connected: your name and business name, an Australian street address and proof of that address, such as a recent utility bill or bank statement. Mobile numbers also need a date of birth. Colvy asks for these in one short form.

You fill in one short form with your business details and proof of address, then choose and pay for the number online. It’s usually set up within a couple of minutes of payment.

Yes. Request a port in Colvy (Settings, then Calls & SMS) with your current provider’s account details, a recent bill and a signed authority. Our team handles the paperwork with the carriers and emails you at each step. Most ports take 1 to 3 weeks; keep your current service active until we tell you it’s done, and don’t cancel with your old provider first. Landlines and mobiles can be moved, and we’ll check 1800 numbers case by case; 13 and 1300 numbers can’t be moved yet. Once it arrives it’s billed like any Colvy number.

No. Answer and make calls in your web browser or in the Colvy app for iPhone and Android.

Yes. By default every available teammate rings at once. For each number you can instead ring people one at a time in your order, forward calls to an Australian mobile or landline (always, or only when you’re closed, with the person who answers pressing 1 to take the call), or play a press-1 menu, with a different menu out of hours if you like. Calls nobody answers still go to your voicemail, missed-call text or AI receptionist.

Yes. Add as many numbers as you need, for example one per store or location, all answered from the same inbox.
